THE VENUE

Knotwood Forest is located 32 kilometers (28 minutes) from East London along the N2 towards Mthatha. We are set on rolling hills just 15 kilometers away from the resorts of Chintsa East and Chintsa West.

We have been hosting weddings since 2016. Knotwood covers 5 hectares of land with a pine planting of approximately 7,000 trees.

Besides our Ceremony Aisle, we offer venues for receptions both open-air and roofed receptions. Our forest Cottage is used exclusively for bridal | honeymoon / anniversary purposes.

CEREMONY AISLE

Surrounded by tall pines, the aisle sweeps along for 50m with a serene and stately backdrop of the forest stretching into the beyond.

We offer various options in terms of a ceremonial arch or stand, as well as lighting and other backdrops and decorations.

FOREST COTTAGE

Enjoy your bridal preparations with your "besties" in our comfortable homely cottage.

We have everything you need for stepping out in bridal glory. We also give the cottage a quick change to have you and your husband sleep over for your honeymoon night, if you so wish.

We are also delighted to host couples for celebrating their wedding anniversaries!

THE KNOT-ROOM

None of us can control the weather, which is why the Knot-Room offers an alternative to The Terrace if you would like to enjoy a wedding reception or other event under cover.

The delightfully simple space with a trussed-roof covering offers protection from the elements.

THE TERRACE

The Terrace is set out in front of the Forest Cottage and can be used as a venue for receptions or other events.

The space can be used for reception buffet setups, picnics or other options you may want.

IN FULL SWING

A highlight in Knotwood Forest is our giant swing (each pole is 6 meters high!), which can be adorned with flowers or other decorations for your special day.

Due to these dynamics, it is possible to shoot photos where the swing seat seems to magically hover in the air. This provides an amazing and unique photo opportunity.
